Adolescent Girls Feminist Leadership – Programme Officer

Surbhi is a feminist practitioner with more than six years of experience on working on the thematic of gender based violence, youth leadership, women’s livelihoods, skill building and system strengthening. She has worked with different feminist grassroots organisations and collectives. Her work entails program design, implementation, research and capacity building through youth focused programming. At The YP Foundation, she currently anchors and supports adolescents and youth feminist leadership portfolio through Butterfly Programme, which focuses on building the leadership of young adolescents girls through foregrounding the rights, choice, agency and decision making.

Surbhi did her Masters in Economics from Ambedkar University, Delhi. Before joining The YP Foundation, she worked with Azad Foundation on the issues of  young women’s leadership and livelihood, and in Martha Farrell Foundation on the issue of sexual harassment at the workplace. She has also worked on a research project on sustainable tourism development in Delhi and Goa. Surbhi is a nature and an animal lover and loves dancing.
