Who we are

The YP Foundation (TYPF) is a youth-run development organisation that facilitates young people’s feminist and rights-based leadership on issues of health equity, gender justice, sexuality rights, and inclusive education. TYPF ensures that young people have the information, capacity, and opportunities to inform and lead the development and implementation of programmes and policies that impact their lives and are recognised as skilled and aware leaders of social change.

Definitions

    • Our Website – The YP Foundation’s website present at https://theypfoundation.org, including its sub-directories (example: https://theypfoundation.org/sub-directory/) but excluding subdomains (example: https://subdomain.theypfoundation.org/).

 

    • Personal Identifiable Information – Includes the visitor’s name, email, phone number, location, preferred pronouns.

 

    • Third Parties – This also includes any intermediaries such as TYPF’s web hosting provider, and any other service providers whose softwares are deployed on the website such as Google (translation), MailChimp (newsletter) and Razorpay (donations). This may also include entities directly involved in TYPF’s activities such as donors, partners and consultants.

 

    • Immediate Third Parties – Includes entities directly involved in TYPF’s activities such as donors, partners and consultants.

 

    • Our Operations – Includes TYPF’s on ground and online work such as capacity building, events, talks, programme engagements, fellowships, contests and direct outreach.

A privacy notice is presented to each visitor using a popup. If you click “Continue” on this notice, a cookie will be stored in your browser to prevent this popup from showing again. This cookie lasts for 1 month.

Accessibility

If you use the accessibility features present in the accessibility menu on the website to increase the text size or enable high-contrast mode, this will save a cookie, one for each functionality. These cookies are used so that your preferences are consistently applied on all pages across the website without resetting with every page reload or redirect. These are session cookies which are deleted every time your browser (not just the tab) is closed.

Translation

If you choose to use the translation feature provided on this website to view the website in any language other than English, or if the website is automatically translated to match the default language (other than English) set on your browser, cookies will be created to store the chosen language. This is done so that you do not need to manually choose your preferred language every time you revisit our website or move to a different page on our website.

Forms

When visitors submit any form on the site we collect only the data shown in that form. We do not log the respondents IP address or any other identifying data that has not been voluntarily provided. We do not share any Personal Identifiable Information with third parties. We might analyse the anonymised data in the aggregate and use this information to improve our website and operations. We do not use recaptcha or any other third party spam detection anywhere else on our website. Required fields will be marked as such or denoted with an asterisk ( * ).

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with

We may share anonymised and aggregated data with immediate third parties to be analysed or used to facilitate or improve our operations and the functioning of this website. We may also share your data with third parties such as MailChimp when you sign up for a newsletter.If you choose to donate to us through Razorpay or any other payment gateway, your details will be shared with the respective payment gateway.

How long we retain your data

Information submitted through the contact form and job application forms are stored for a minimum period of 3 years or longer in compliance with legal requirements of the respective jurisdictions.

Information submitted through the document access form is stored for a period of 1 year after which it may be stored for longer after being stripped of all personal identifying information.

For users that register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
