Abhinav is a development practitioner and a youth advocate for the health and well being related issues especially Sexual, Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). He has over eight years of experience in the development field especially in the areas of research, capacity building & evidence based action at national and sub-national levels. At The YP Foundation, he works as a Programme Officer and leads the policy and public engagement portfolio of the organisation with the emphasis on health systems strengthening and meaningful engagement of young people on issues that matter to them. He is a Biotechnology graduate from VIT University, Vellore and holds a masters degree in Public Health (Community Medicine). He has led several research and policy engagement based projects to strengthen young people’s access to SRHR information and services. He has actively participated and represented the organisation in the platforms such as International Conference on Public Health (ICOPH), Partnership for Maternal Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH) Partners meeting in Geneva, International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) in Thailand, Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) Summit in Indonesia among others.
