Role Description

Associate – Campaigns and Communications will be responsible for the overall maintenance and development of our web-based outreach platforms, internal technological solutioning, and publication design and editing. They would need to work closely with consultants and the larger team to ensure that communications material regarding our work is created and distributed across our websites and emailers to maximise visibility and outreach. The position would also involve innovative solutioning and use of tech to improve the organisation’s work. This would also require working closely with management to manage the tech platforms and their budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

Websites Maintenance and Updation

  • Uploading and editing content on our WordPress websites
  • Performing regular maintenance on the websites
  • Monitoring and reporting on the analytics data
  • Ensuring proper implementation of accessibility tools

IT Administration

  • Design custom emailers and fix email delivery issues
  • Manage tech budgets, expenses, and subscriptions
  • Search and apply for NGO discounts for softwares
  • Manage GSuite, Slack, and Zoom workspaces
  • Monitor server infrastructure for issues and outages
  • Monitor contact form submissions

Publication Design and Editing

  • Designing and typesetting publications using the internal guidelines
  • Content curation, editing, and review
  • Use monitoring and evaluation data to write reports

Candidate Criteria

Essential Criteria

  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • Basic experience using WordPress, Adobe Suite, and MailChimp
  • Demonstrated engagement with and understanding of critical issues of gender, youth development, sexuality, and health
  • An affinity for problem solving and situation based upskilling
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Desirable Criteria 

  • Well practised in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and JS and comfort with coding
  • Experience managing a website and server
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Zapier or Integromat
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools like Matomo Analytics
  • Commitment towards improving accessibility online

Salary Range

₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month (CTC) based on experience, skills and  organisational salary scales.
