Vineeta is a queer feminist with a keen interest in the intersection of gender and media. At TYPF, she is responsible for all external communications and leads social media engagement and creates digital campaigns around youth leadership, gender, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. They champion young people’s rights by using online spaces to engage in public advocacy on issues pertaining to youth in India.
Vineeta holds a master’s degree in women-centred social work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai, where she gained on-ground experience working on issues of violence against women and child and adolescent mental health. Prior to that, they completed their bachelor’s degree in political science from Delhi University, during which time they also led India’s largest student-run newspaper. Vineeta has a 4-year-old cat named Tintu.
