Abortion Rights and Reproductive Justicee – Associate

Nishni is an intersectional feminist thinker and social worker who is passionate to create a gender equal society. She works as SAFE Programme Associate where she is involved in assisting and providing inputs in the workings of the programme including capacity building workshops, advocacy initiatives, online and offline campaigns, and execution of SAFE fellowships.

They have done their graduation in Sociology and postgraduation in Social Work. Before joining TYPF, they worked as a resource person for the sessions on gender and sexuality, menstrual hygiene, visibility of queer individuals for ICDS under Ministry of Women and Child Development, Kerala on issues on gender and sexuality, menstrual hygiene, visibility of queer folks among many others. She has also completed a course on Gender and Local Self Government form KILA (Kerala Institute of Local Administration).  Nishni has volunteered with youth-led non governmental organisations focusing on marginalized groups, including women, Dalit-Bahujan, and people with disabilities.

They are keenly interested in working for the rights of women and queer community and wish for an equal society where every person can live with rights and dignity, regardless of their ascribed status.
