Adolescent Girls Feminist Leadership – Coordinator

Kasturi is a social work practitioner with a scientific and rational approach. She is engaged in TYPF’s work on leadership and perspective building with adolescent girls from marginalized communities in Delhi and supports the partner organisations in Jharkhand.

Kasturi has done her bachelor’s in management studies (BMS) and Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from University of Mumbai. Previously. working with TYPF, she has worked with Mumbai based organisation on adolescent girls leadership on gender, education, health, and their rights. She has also worked on fundamental rights of tribal and rural communities. Her Master’s degree research is published as one of the chapters in Contemporary Indian society and Social Work Practices in India (2021). Kasturi has a keen interest in environment issues, training, social research, developing and implementation of programs/modules related to gender, sexuality, menstruation, adolescent and youth leadership.

She is a travel and trekking enthusiast and loves to be around mountains and nature.
