Ishita Chaudhry

Founder

Ishita is an Ashoka Fellow, INK Fellow and the Founder and Managing Trustee of The YP Foundation (TYPF). She worked as Executive Director of TYPF from 2002-2015, transitioning in 2016 to the Board. An independent consultant and feminist facilitator, she works with women’s funds, civil society, governments and technical agencies on strategic programming, policy/advocacy and organizational development across education, health and gender to advance young people and women’s human rights. Ishita has worked in several advisory groups for governments and the United Nations, including the High-Level Task Force for Population and Development (ICPD), UNESCO’s Global Advisory Group for Sexuality Education, for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GOI and most recently the Department of Education, Government of NCT and Delhi Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR). Ishita is a Founding Member of the transnational alliance RESURJ (Realizing Sexual and Reproductive Justice). She serves on the Board of Directors of IPAS and the Independent Advisory Board for the Amplify Change Fund.

Ishita transitioned out of her role as ED in 2015 and from the board in 2019.
