About The YP Foundation The YP Foundation (TYPF) is a youth led organisation  that facilitates young people’s feminist and rights-based leadership on issues of health equity, gender justice, sexuality rights, and social justice. TYPF ensures that young people have the information, capacity, and opportunities to inform and lead the development and implementation of programmes and policies that impact their lives and are recognised as skilled and aware leaders of social change. About Safe Abortion For Everyone (SAFE) TYPF’s Safe Abortion For Everyone (SAFE) programme aims to use a multi-pronged approach to create an enabling environment for a safe abortion through evidence generation and youth-led advocacy. Key Responsibilities Programme Management:

  • Programme development, planning, monitoring and implementation to achieve set targets and goals in accordance with the plans and timelines that are co-created and agreed upon by the partners and donors. 
  • Contribute towards programmatic growth and development by supporting the resource mobilization team in proposal development and fundraising for the programme.
  • Create and manage collaborations and partnerships with individuals, experts, organizations and grassroots groups to support programmatic activities and achieve targets.
  • Plan and manage project finances in line with the budgets assigned and developed for the work. 
  • Oversee reporting of the same in line with organizational systems. 
  • Collaborate with programme partners, consultants and staff members to develop the programme in accordance with programme goals.
  • Collaborate with functional teams (research & knowledge, advocacy, capacity building, communication and leadership) to leverage their expertise in order to enhance the programmatic deliverables
  • Develop, and implement the monitoring and evaluation plan and tools in line with the programme objectives and impact agenda.  
  • Write and compile due diligence reports and periodic updates for other staff and the organization’s board and leadership.
  • Develop resources, curricula, reports and other materials that are part of the programme plan and outcomes. 
  • Manage conflict and ensure that issues raised by the community or programme team are dealt with through channels based on protocol. 
  • Work with the communications team to publicize and communicate programme activities, impact, and achievements in line with TYPF’s communication strategy. 

Team Management and Development:

  • Recruit, train and lead a team of young people (coordinators and fellows where applicable) to achieve programmatic goals
  • Mentor and handhold team members to help them develop and grow in the organization
  • Set goals, track and monitor performance, review and provide feedback on a regular basis
  • Set and uphold organizational culture and create a positive and healthy work environment. 

Due Diligence, Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Regular monitoring against set targets to ensure high quality on ground delivery
  • Ongoing assessment of shifts and change among participants and young leaders to ensure target outcomes are achieved
  • Writing and reviewing due diligence reports and periodic updates for other staff, senior management and the organisation’s board

Fundraising and Project Finances

  • Support in developing fundraising targets for the subsequent years and creating annual budgets and plans
  • Managing programme due diligence and reporting
  • Tracking project finances and filing monthly expenditure reports

Organizational Development

  • Contribute towards systems strengthening and implementing and monitoring of institutional systems and processes
  • Represent the organization and the programme in external platforms towards advocacy, showcase impact and ongoing work or participation in collaborative, training, events and/or policy engagement processes. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduate degree from a recognised University in any field. 
  • 3-4 years of prior experience working with young people in capacity-building programmes on SRHR and Gender that engage young people and adolescents
  • Language(s): High level of proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge and functional proficiency in any other regional language including Assamese, Hindi and Malayalam will be given preference. 
  • Proficiency in using web-based and MS Office applications for key communication, documentation and institutional and programmatic processes. 
  • Experienced in written documentation and writing reports, case studies, stories of change, media briefs and creating and editing program-based content. 
  • Proven excellent organizational and administrative skills, having led a team of people in managerial capacities. 
  • Demonstrated experience of leading teams and managing budgets and expenditure. 
  • Experience of networking with government bodies, partners, grant makers and civil society organisations, and a wide range of companies, partners and donors at local, national and international levels.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Prior knowledge and experience of community-based programming especially on thematic issues closely related to gender and sexuality, abortion rights and youth led action.
