About The YP Foundation: The YP Foundation (TYPF) is a youth led organisation  that facilitates young people’s feminist and rights-based leadership on issues of health equity, gender justice, sexuality rights, and social justice. TYPF ensures that young people have the information, capacity, and opportunities to inform and lead the development and implementation of programmes and policies that impact their lives and are recognised as skilled and aware leaders of social change.

About SAFE Programme: TYPF’s Safe Abortion For Everyone (SAFE) programme aims to use a multi-pronged approach to create an enabling environment for a safe abortion through evidence generation and youth-led advocacy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation:

  • Leading a team of consultants in design, production and implementation of resource materials, capacity building processes and dialogue platforms.
  • Writing of content such as session designs, learning materials etc. to be used in implementation of capacity building processes.
  • Implementing activities on ground on safe abortion rights with young people and key stakeholders such as CSOs and government functionaries, primarily in Delhi, Assam and Kerala.
  • Creating multi-stakeholder dialogue platforms such as consultations, conferences and seminars on SRHRJ, especially safe abortion rights. 
  • Facilitating capacity and perspective development sessions on sexuality, SRHRJ, youth leadership and stakeholder engagement with diverse young people. 
  • Creating documents and reports that clearly state the progress of the programme goals, including insights, data, feedback and testimonials from the public engagement.
  • Troubleshooting issues and challenges within the community on a day-to-day basis while implementing the activities/ tasks
  • Working with communications teams to support outreach to diverse stakeholders including the media.

Due Diligence, Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Writing due diligence reports and periodic updates for other staff, donors and the organisation’s board.
  • Assessment of shifts and change among participants and young leaders to ensure target outcomes are achieved
  • Supporting programme evaluation activities such as conducting interviews/FGDs with participants, collating the collected data and writing reports. 

Fundraising and Project finances

  • Support in creating annual budgets, plans and proposals for the programme.
  • Effective and timely utilisation of planned budgets for the assigned activities. 

Organisational Development

  • Contribute towards systems strengthening and implementing and monitoring of institutional systems and processes
  • Represent the organisation and the programme in external platforms towards advocacy, showcase impact and ongoing work or participation in collaborative, training, events and/or policy engagement processes.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Criteria:

  • Graduate degree from a recognised University in any field. 
  • 1-3 years of prior experience working with young people in capacity-building programmes on SRHR and Gender that engage young people and adolescents
  • Language(s): High level of proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge and functional proficiency in any other regional language including Assamese, Hindi and Malayalam will be given preference. 
  • Proficiency in using web-based and MS Office applications for key communication, documentation and institutional and programmatic processes.
  • Experienced in written documentation and writing reports, case studies, stories of change, media briefs and creating and editing program-based content. 
  • Experience of networking with government bodies, partners, grant makers and civil society organisations, and a wide range of companies, partners and donors at local, national and international levels. 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Prior knowledge and experience of community-based programming especially on thematic issues closely related to gender and sexuality, abortion rights and youth led action.

Salary Range: 35,000 – 55,000 INR/month
