Tarini Barat is a digital marketing and branding professional with 6+ years of experience in building and developing brands online. Tarini began her career working with JWT Delhi on Pepsico brands in 2008 and later moved to Mumbai to work with Flying Cursor Interactive, one of Mumbai’s top digital creative agencies. As the Business and Strategy Head of Flying Cursor Interactive she has conceptualized and executed high performing B2C and B2B communication strategies across sectors such as BFSI, Auto, FMCG, E-Commerce and others. The brands and clients she has worked with include Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, Future Group, Amazon and National Geographic Channel to name a few. Post her stint in Flying Cursor, as a brand consultant Tarini works closely with digital start-ups and brands to develop end-to-end communication across multiple digital touchpoints. Most recently, she has worked with one of the largest smart fitness start-ups in India, FITPASS to build their marketing and communication strategy across the customer’s life cycle. An English Honours graduate from St. Stephen’s College, Tarini also has a legal background, having completed her LLB from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 2012.
She passed the All India Bar Council Exams in 2014 to be recognized as a qualified advocate in India. Prior to her shift back marketing and branding, Tarini worked with Khaitan Sud & Partners in the Project Finance Department as an associate. Tarini is also an alumni of The YP Foundation, having worked with the organization from 2004 to 2007. During this period, she held the role of Programme Coordinator and spearheaded a team of 20 as they developed and managed a series of outreach and awareness programmes with young people in Delhi on a range of key issues such as HIV+, Drug Abuse, Bullying and Stereotyping. In 2008-2009 she held an advisory role in the organization to help the core team with fundraising.
