Anmol views the world with a trauma-informed lens, working at the intersection of gender and mental health. At TYPF, they commit to the implementation of comprehensive sexuality education through various processes as a Programme Coordinator on the Know Your Body Know Your Rights team, using the platform to engage with communities in an attempt to create a more gender equitable society.
Equipped with a Master’s in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from the University of Edinburgh, they have worked closely with children and young adults as a sexuality educator. They have also worked in the education sector, spreading awareness about School Management Committees (SMCs) and engaging closely with the local stakeholders. Their journey helped them identify the acute need for sexuality education in educational spaces in India, thus co-founding The Yellow Umbrella Foundation (a sex-ed initiative). They believe that with early and regular sex-ed intervention, we can raise children to make informed, empathetic choices, thus breaking cycles of abuse, toxicity, and stigma – a step closer to a fair society.
