Kavita holds a B.A. from Delhi University and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). She is currently engaged with The YP Foundation as part of the Campus Caravan Project, which focuses on preventing gender-based violence. The initiative aims to create safe and inclusive spaces where young leaders are empowered to foster an equitable and violence-free society. It encourages youth to develop leadership skills, challenge traditional norms, and think critically.

In her previous roles, Kavita has gained extensive experience working with various organizations. As a Project Coordinator at Jagori Rural Charitable Trust, she was instrumental in program planning and execution, regional team coordination, operational management, guidance and counseling, and organizing impactful initiatives such as workshops, training sessions, and summer schools for adolescents. Her leadership ensured the seamless implementation of these programs.

Earlier, she served as a Youth Resource Animator at the Institute of Social Studies Trust (ISST) Yuva Sathi Center, where she focused on addressing gender issues, sexuality, and gender-based discrimination. This role honed her skills in engaging with youth, as she regularly conducted sessions for both in-school and out-of-school adolescents, significantly contributing to their education, awareness, and personal development.
