Adolescent Girls Leadership

Access to entitlements and control over decisions related to their bodies is limited for all adolescent girls, despite their identities and perceived marginalisation or privilege. For instance, adolescent girls get compelled to marry a specific person or at an age against your will, lack decision making power over education, sexual health or reproductive choices and issues around consent and violence within sexual relationships. These issues are not limited to marginalized groups of adolescents but are rather critical areas for all adolescent girls to be informed about, to be made aware of, and to negotiate.

We work to enable and foreground adolescent girls as leaders in their families, communities and in the development of policies and programmes. We collectivise adolescent girls and equip them with the knowledge, perspective and skills to implement programmes and influence policies around health, gender, violence prevention, sexuality and rights.
