Mardon Waali Baatein: Sharing Research Findings


A half-day event hosted at the India Habitat Centre brought together experts from different organisations and independent researchers to discuss the impact of Mardon Waali Baat research on interventions with young men in spaces of programming, youth movements and youth feminist leadership building.

The event began with an elaborate discussion of the research which included details about the context, target demographic, key findings, and insights.

A panel discussion with followed, which probed into issues of data collection and interpretation; leveraging masculinity research for global frameworks; using an intersectional lens and and understanding of masculinity in programme design and further research; and impact of this research on young men’s experiences. The panelists were Shikhar Yadav (KYBKYR Youth Leader and student of Psychology at Ambedkar University, Delhi), Hemalatha Verma (Technical Specialist : Gender, Violence and SRHR, ICRW), Anju Dubey (Programme Specialist, UN Women) and Gautam Bhan (Lead – Academics and Research, Indian Institute for Human Settlements).
